Al Gore letter's response

Al Gore gave this speech in order to tell the people that we are in trouble. We can see there are many natural disasters happening in every month, such as floods, storms, volcanic eruptions, etc. Climate change not only affects one person, but also affects everyone in the world.
Since the disaster areas take a long time and need large amount of money to recover, that increases the expense of the government which indirectly caused the economic depression. According to the quote that Al Gore used, the temperature has increased 0.9 degree Fahrenheit annually and “a 30% annual rise in U.S. catastrophic losses from storms.” Also, “one year ago, President Clinton announced the Nation’s commitment to address climate change”. Some of the environmental groups and organizations also claim that the climate change is really happening. It is related to us because it is related to our life.
As Al Gore said, climate change speeds up the death of our Earth, and even us. Those natural disasters, such as volcanic eruption, and floods, happen frequently. Every second, many trees were cut down; our Earth is dying gradually. Therefore, we have to become selfless. It’s time to change our mind, and change our behavior! We have to think that as we are using any electronic device we are decreasing our life because electricity is generated by coal which would cause the pollution during its process of generating. Also, to save our Earth, we have to learn how to recycle the garbage. Look around and think about how much garbage we have produced every day; there is always a way for us to save. Besides that, we need to understand that if only one person recycles, it would be useless, so everyone needs to cooperate.
Al Gore also recommends that Business Company joins some programs, such as the Green Light program. It can offer those business companies a lot of professional knowledge about what we can do to save our Earth. It is really important that we group together to save our home. Let’s think about this, if all the people in America could turn off their light, for an hour, how much electricity could we save? What if everyone in the world plant a tree each day, what would happen to our future? It would be so practical! Therefore, it’s time to change, because it’s never too late to change.

To my best friends in Hong Kong

Dear friends,
it's such a long time that we haven't met. How are you guys ding? Is everything fine? I think you havechanged a lot and s have I. In these three years, I often thought about our happy time that we had in Hong Kong. I miss you guys!
August 28, 2008 was a typical day for me. It was the day I moved to New York City. People told me tht NYC was a pretty cool place as Hong Kong, but for me, New York City was just a city in a map; I had never imagined that one dy I would live there. In my first monthin New York City, I remember I was so frustrated nd upset becauseI had no friends right here. Almost all of y the people who live here speak in English; which made me feel isolated. That month was my darkness time; I stayed at home usually. Afterward, I thought it was time for me to make some changes. I started to go to high school and continued my education. I met lots of friends when I was in high school. One of my best friends s called Steven, he was the first friend who I me in America. He has the sme hobby as mine; he likes to play soccer as well. Maybe that's the reason why we got along quickly and easily. I should introduce him to you guys when we come back to Hong Kong. In these three years, I have changed a lot. I graduated from high school and now I attend college. It's so different between high school school and college. I feel more stressed about studying in college, but I believe I can overcome it eventually. How about you? Do you guys keep going to play soccer every Saturday? You guys should be experts now, so you can tutor me when I come back.
After these three years, I think NYC and HK are quite similar and I think the most interesting thing is that there is a 3.41 km square big park located in the middle of the city. YES! 3.41 km square! Have you ever seen that? I was shocked when I saw that. That's awesome! This park is called Central Park and there are some concerts performance right there. I think you guys should come to see it. However, one thing that I think disappointed me about NYC is the subway station. Even though the subway is the most convenient public transportation in NYC, you wouldn't like to remain on the platform for more than 10 minutes in summer; waiting for the train to come. Since lots of garbage and mice are on the track, the smell is awful. In winter, the extreme cold weather would freeze and torture you when you are waiting for the train. Anyway, no doubt, NYC is one of the most wonderful cities in the world. I think you guys should come to visit; I can be you tourist guide.
Actually, I had planned to come back last summer, however, I had to postpone the day. I will come back this winter after this college's semester ends up. I miss you guys so much. I can't wait to hang out with you guys! Look forward to see yo soon.
Best wishes,
ManHong
