Dear friends,
it's such a long time that we haven't met. How are you guys ding? Is everything fine? I think you havechanged a lot and s have I. In these three years, I often thought about our happy time that we had in Hong Kong. I miss you guys!
August 28, 2008 was a typical day for me. It was the day I moved to New York City. People told me tht NYC was a pretty cool place as Hong Kong, but for me, New York City was just a city in a map; I had never imagined that one dy I would live there. In my first monthin New York City, I remember I was so frustrated nd upset becauseI had no friends right here. Almost all of y the people who live here speak in English; which made me feel isolated. That month was my darkness time; I stayed at home usually. Afterward, I thought it was time for me to make some changes. I started to go to high school and continued my education. I met lots of friends when I was in high school. One of my best friends s called Steven, he was the first friend who I me in America. He has the sme hobby as mine; he likes to play soccer as well. Maybe that's the reason why we got along quickly and easily. I should introduce him to you guys when we come back to Hong Kong. In these three years, I have changed a lot. I graduated from high school and now I attend college. It's so different between high school school and college. I feel more stressed about studying in college, but I believe I can overcome it eventually. How about you? Do you guys keep going to play soccer every Saturday? You guys should be experts now, so you can tutor me when I come back.
After these three years, I think NYC and HK are quite similar and I think the most interesting thing is that there is a 3.41 km square big park located in the middle of the city. YES! 3.41 km square! Have you ever seen that? I was shocked when I saw that. That's awesome! This park is called Central Park and there are some concerts performance right there. I think you guys should come to see it. However, one thing that I think disappointed me about NYC is the subway station. Even though the subway is the most convenient public transportation in NYC, you wouldn't like to remain on the platform for more than 10 minutes in summer; waiting for the train to come. Since lots of garbage and mice are on the track, the smell is awful. In winter, the extreme cold weather would freeze and torture you when you are waiting for the train. Anyway, no doubt, NYC is one of the most wonderful cities in the world. I think you guys should come to visit; I can be you tourist guide.
Actually, I had planned to come back last summer, however, I had to postpone the day. I will come back this winter after this college's semester ends up. I miss you guys so much. I can't wait to hang out with you guys! Look forward to see yo soon.
Best wishes,
ManHong
